Reflectors, also known as “cat’s eyes”, are road safety features used to improve the visibility of roads in low-light or reduced visibility conditions.

They consist of a base and a reflective plate. The base is attached to the road or other elements of the public road, and the reflective plate reflects the light of vehicles on the road.

They can be classified into two main types:

• Vertical reflectors: these are installed on the curbs of the road, on the medians or on other vertical elements of the public road.
• Horizontal reflectors: these are installed on the road pavement.
